Care India Medical Society is a unique public charitable trust incorporated in Pune in February 1993 with the objects of bringing Public Awareness on Cancer, Cancer Early Detection and providing Palliative Care to the advanced stage cancer patients at home.

Preventive Oncology Cancer Early Detection

The organization has been providing services for over a decade to bring focus on prevention of the preventable forms of cancer such as Cancer Cervix, Oral Cavity Cancers and explain the significance of delay in Cancer Early Detection.

Spreading the awareness that cancer is curable if detected early in most cases and making its early detection affordable being our prime mission, we conduct screening camps in the urban as well as rural areas for cancer early detection to effectively save lives.


Cancer Palliative Care

A unique outreach programme is offered under Cancer Palliative Care where doctors and social workers provide care and pain management through administration of oral morphine, Fentanyl patches, etc. to provide succour to the needy patients to alleviate pain and human suffering. A free inpatient facility consisting of a fifteen bedded hospital is established with supportive and nursing care to get difficult symptoms under control. The hospital also caters to provide respite care to the family members / care givers.

The line of treatment is provided in accordance with WHO recommendations for total control of pain.


Rural Outreach

A small sub-centre has been provided in Barshi in co-ordination with Nargis Dutt Memorial Hospital for providing pain management to the rural poor.
